PREFACE.  The original title of this article was “Bracketology is a Waste of Time: A Tribute to the RPI”…but my rudimentary analysis exposed a series of such atrocious injustices that I had to change the title to something a little more in line with my opinion on how the 2008 selection committee performed their duties.  Their identities should be made public ASAP and they should each be banned for life from ever participating again.
